So we did this photo shoot with the most amazing people, it was definitely a blast.
First we started with a natural makeup look, the model was first concealed and dusted with powered foundation to keep the shine away. After covering the face we had put primer on the eyelids, a dust of shimmering pinky tone eye shadow, gel eyeliner and some beautiful false eyelashes to make her eyes pop. Added some pinky blush and finished the look with some lip-gloss. Loved this look!
The darker look was done right after the natural one; it was very easy to transform her. We put on a black tight skirt, a strapless bra, gorgeous black lace dress and some chunky teal jewelry, which brought some color to the outfit. The only thing that was changed to her make-up was the eyes and lips. We added some dark green eye shadow to make her green eyes pop and blended in some black eye shadow outward to elongate the eye. Finally we added some fusia pink lip liner to her lips, we kept it matte.
Most of the pictures were taken with a Canon 7D with a 24-105mm F/4. The pictures were taken with anywhere from 1-2 speedlights (sometimes with an umbrella) triggered with Pocket Wizards. The lights were fired at almost full power to overpower most of the sunlight. The sun also served as a hair light for some of the pictures.
The photos were taken at a park, perfect for what we were going for. And cant complain about the scenery but at the end of the photo shoot Elma’s little legs were so sore. It was definitely a lot of walking up and down hills. She needs to be more in shape. Overall the lighting that day worked in our favor we didn’t have to use too much equipment and the pictures came out exactly how we wanted them too!
We want to thank the model, makeup and hair stylists and definitely the photographer; this is a dream of ours and we wouldn’t be able to do it without you guys.
Tootles until next time…
